Hey family what’s up? It sounds like you are all doing good
which is great to hear. We had a great week here and continue to see miracles.
We continued teaching Mariela this week and we are now teaching their neighbors
too. Mariela had some challenges this week and one day the wedding and baptism
were still on, next day not, and just like that was the whole week haha but
yesterday we had an awesome lesson with her and resolved a bunch of her doubts
so you all need to pray for her this week and we will see a miracle and baptize
her this week.
Also on Sunday a mother of a member passed away from cancer
and after church we went over there with some members for the viewing to
support her, she and her kids are the only members in the family, and they had
the viewing in a catholic church and as we were there she told us how grateful
she was to have the knowledge of the gospel that nobody else in her family has.
She was so grateful for that and said it brought so much comfort to her.
To me it was just an incredible reminder of the knowledge that we have as
members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We know that death
is not the end, as Alma 40 teaches after the death our spirits are carried back
to that God that gave them life, and that we will rest from all our
difficulties in paradise. Also mom from your email that was awesome to hear
about your experiences with Aunt Carol Ann in the temple doing the work
for Mark’s family, what a blessing it is to be in the temple, and to be able to
do that special work for our ancestors. That’s all played into what I’m doing
here as a missionary. We are completing families so they can be together
forever.
Also I am stoked for the general conference coming up….
prepare yourselves family. So yeah that’s about what’s going on here in
Encarnacion. The other day I fished in the Parana River for like 2 minutes, the
Pirana ate my worm… darn it. It was sweet, we taught an investigator on
the banks of the river while he was fishing… it was sweet. Well hey family..
have a great week. I love you guys so much. Take care.
Love Elder Hager
