Hey my awesome mother,
Hey family hows it goin? What an awesome week we had here in
pilar we are seeing some big miracles with the zone and the mission. Saturday
we had a baptism for the other elders they baptized a guy named Horacio that is
the husband of the district presidentes wife and they have been married for
about 12 years but he didnt ever want anything to do with the church, he drank,
smoke and really just despised the church and didnt even want to say hi to the
misisonaries for years.. Just about when i got here his wife threw him out of
the house and he lost his wife and his 3 beatiful children.. On thursday i gave
him his baptism interview and he shared this with me... My wife threw me out of
the house and when i was alone i started finally realizing that i was losing my
family, my wife and kids.. he started comparing his life as a drinker to what i
was with the family and said he needed a changed. He made a promise to his wife
that he would start coming to church every sunday and make the changes
necesary. His wife still didnt let him in the house to live but she brought him
to church every week and the missionaries were teaching him and he just started
changing 180 degrees. Saturday he walked into the waters of baptism and it was
amazing... THe interview i had with him was incredible.. so prepared. What an
incredible work it is that were in. Family that meeting last night with the
leaders was incredible... I had the biggest smile on my face in that meeting
just thinkin how awesome it would be to have like 6 more months on the mission
to watch it all unfold... But its even happing right now all the changes. Last
night after the meeting we even started recieving calls from the members of
references.. Its incredible. Well family you all heard last night.... you got
work to do for those elderes... give them those chosen families... Well family
love you all so much hope you have a great week. Today were going fishing with
a member in the Paraguay river so that should be sweet.. I wont eat it but ill
fish it.. Love you all
Hey mother sounds like things back home are pretty crazy...
That meeting was absolutely incredible wasnt it... The work is changing into a
machine.. I know the baptisms in the church are going to double.. In 5 years we
will have like 180 temples in the world its going to be awesome.. The boundries
are changing? we better still have jeffs neighborhood mom no matter what ...
That would be a bummer if we didnt mom.. But talking to garrett he said it
would probably be better to just stay at home so im pretty sure thats what im
gonna do... But yeah i have a question.. So an elder im living with right now
is from mexico. He served the first part of his misison in mexico waiting his
visa and his companion was Elder Burt from Bakersville California. He was in
the Mexico west mission.. Is that seans cousin? just curious.. The elder is
named elder Reyes... yeah that would be funny. But anyway things are great mom
i hope all is well back home. You guys are incredible..: Love you my sweet
mother.
