Jordan's 4/22/2013 Emai

Hey my mother,

Hey family whats up? so we had another great week here in Pilar the zone is seeing miracles... we had three baptisms on saturday, a couple got baptized by the hermanas misioneries and the elders here in our branch baptized a part member family,, so we are seeing some awesome miracles,, wednesday we had to travel on a bus for about an hour and a half to san ignacio and we did divisions there with the district leader and blew their area up,, this friday we are going to ayolas... you guys gotta look these areas up on google or something, they are so beautiful, ayolas will be about a 4 hour bus ride for us,, so alot of traveling, next monday we have to go to asuncion to for a councel meeting with the zone leaders and presidente so were pretty beat, but obviously no time to rest.. there are always members here that tell us we work to hard and that we need to slow down and take a break and i always say.. oh no problem we take a big break after our 2 years.. they always look at us like were crazy haha.. But i just love working here, you never know at what point of the day or behind what door is there a chosen family just ready to hear this message, god has promised us that he is preparing people in our are to hear and accept this gospel,, so we are just workin so we can find them. So the workouts continue with my comp, i hope i make it out alive.. we do a sweet ab workout in the night and every mornin we go running to the church to do some sprints or play some ball, but im finally getting in good shape again, this mornings sprints i almost died, but i think ill live and yeah ill be greatful with it. Im loving my time with my comp, im learning a ton and we teach way good together only after like a week and a half together, its awesome to see the spirit just compensates for what we lack, and it just takes over and does everything, we just study and go and open our mouths. Those are the sweet miracles of the mission. Its awesome to being in this situation cause we meet witht he district presidentes, the branch presidents and make plans with them to better the work in the zone, we have a bunch of meetings,  and all for the better of the district TO BAPTIZE... well family looks like you guys are all doing great back home, the lord is blessing us so much, we always need to remember and recognize where and why these blessings are coming, great nations from the time of the book of mormon even to today have fallen and are falling only by forgetting the lord and allowing pride to enter in their hearts, but we know better, everything we have is from our heavenly father due to our obedience to the commandments of god, they dont restrain us, they free us. 2 nefi 2;27. Love you family so much and thanks for everything.

Hey mom hows it going, well thanks for the letter i love hearing that all is well back home. i got the package.. thank you i loved it, im sharing alot cause your right its too many sweets for me for trying to get in to shape haha but i am eating it slowly dont worry, it was awesome. Can you call becca today and thank her so much for the letter and the cookie butter and it was incredible holy crap, yeah it was good. Thanks for hooking me up with the college stuff, mom i know this scholarship requires a certain GPA right? i dont want to have something that happened my first year not get good enough grades and lose the scholarship, thats why i would rather have the baseball one, but im ok with it i know that just means i have to study a ton to get the good grades that i need for it. ill figure out the answers this week and send it too you next week, your going to have to have somebody correct it becasue of my english its really bad haha but yeah ill get it done.. thats sweet you were able to go to elder cleverly`s homecoming.. so mine will be that first sunday i get back? thats what i wanted. Im going to share my testimony in guarani. Well mom what i have seen about the poor people in paraguay that are members go with that survey that you told me awhile ago that they are the happiest people in the world. Mom i walk into members houses here that dont have floors, they have like bricks or just wood siding and its a little one room house that has 4 beds to fit the parents and the kids, they cook their food off of fire wood and a metal bar that holds their pot, the husband works from 5 in the morning till night hard labor in the 110 degree heat or hotter to come home to a house like that and not have airconditioning, they shower with buckets out back, and yet... they are the most happiest people i have ever met in my life, they work so hard all week to be able to give the missionaries food, they ``specially buy soda pop`` for the missionaries to come, they put alot of food on your plate, then give you more after, they wont let you leave hungry, even if their kids are..they dont have anything of the world, video games, computers, nice clothes, some of the women wear the same dress to church every week cause thats literally the only dress that they have, and yet mom the ones that LIVE THE GOSPEL.. are the happest people cause they understand, this life is short and just a quick ride, they are workin just to make sure there is food on the table to live, and then with the rest of their time they help the missionaries, they teach their family members, come to church activites, and prepare themselves for the second coming, thats the happiness. Nothing more, and if anyone thinks anything otherwise, they dont understand, and never will, until they humble themselves like mosiah 3:19 and become as a little child and submit yourselves to the lord.. Well i hope that can help you a little bit. well mom love you so much you are my hero, mom i wanted to see if you can put all my letters i have sent home to the family on my mission on that hard drive, i want to make a journal out of it when i get home. Thanks so much... love you my sweet mother,
