IT WAS A GREAT WEEK!!

Hey family what’s up... Thanks so much for your letters, it was awesome to hear how everyone is doing back home.. the Lord is blessing us so much.  I can’t tell you how excited I was to hear about the 58 new missions that were created and seeing the growth of the work. I can’t tell you how awesome it is to be part of the work during this time. And I did hear from some down here that Cuidad Del Este, Encarnacion, and Pilar will be put in the other mission which is a big bummer, it will be kind of interesting to see what happens to me cause I’m in Encarnacion right now. It’s awesome!

We had a sweet miracle this week. So we have been working with Silvina and Edit all week to get them prepared for this Saturday. Silvina is the one that got in the accident.. she still has been really quiet but improving a lot.. Sunday we found out that Edit, her mom Fransisca and Abel the dad  all got sick and couldn’t come to church. And it would have been hard because it’s a 2 hour walk to church from their house. So starting sacrament we didn’t have investigators in church but in the middle Silvina walked in with her daughter... MIRACLE.. she came on her own and we were so surprised. We had a great gospel principles class with her and she says she is excited for this Saturday so were going to have 2 baptisms this week. BLESSING...

I was reading a talk this morning and I came across some things that I wanted to share with you guys... This week we watched a few times the Joseph Smith movie with some investigadors and it is always amazing to me the sacrifices they made, and from 17 miracles too.. this talk says this.. Mosiah 2 verses 22 y 24. All that he requires of you is to keep his commandments, and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments,  ye should prosper in the land, and he doth not vary from that which he hath said, therefore if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you. 24 He doth require that you do as he hath commanded you, for which if ye do, he doth IMMEDIATLY bless you, and therefore he hath paid you and ye are still in debt to him... Similarly Alma said  if you will repent and harden not your hearts, IMMEDIATLY  shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you. Alma 34. 31. How is it that we are immediately blessed for our obedience... generally we think that blessings are realized over time. For example the prophet Ether said.. ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. Ether 12:6.  Another example of how time, diligence, and patience plays a role in realizing the fruit of our labors is found in the teachings of Alma 32.  Alma compared the gospel to a seed and said that we can realize the fruit or benefit of that seed only after a season of  caring and nourishing the seed. Moses said that the people of Enoch were exhalted. In process of time. Moses 7.21. How then are we blessing immediately for our obedience... The answer is that there are blessings and there are blessings. Some blessings you wait for, others are immediate and invariable. One way that you are blessed immediately is that you are changed, and change can be the greatest blessing of all. You are the sum total of all that you have thought, done, said, seen, heard and felt in this life and before. You change immediately with each good thought, each good act, every good word changes you for the better. When you willingly obey the principles of the gospel, you are changed by the spirit of God to become incrementally more like him. The degree of change with each small act of  obedience may be small, but it is real and immediately this process of change or sanctification happens only over time, but make no mistake that you are always changing and that the effects of your obedience are immediate. Whether for better or for worse, depending upon the voice you choose to follow...I loved this part and thought some of you might like it too. The Savior promises to bless us immediately. What a blessing, but only based on our righteousness.

Family, I love you so much.  You are incredible! Have a great week!
