Familia que tal en Utah? Hace frio che ra´as? A little Guaraní there, it’s awesome I’m picking up on Guaraní here and there and it’s a bomb awesome language.
So yeah it was another awesome week here in Fernando and we are still just witnessing miracles every day.. it’s amazing. Our families that we have right now are all reading and they all have told us they have felt something different when we come and when they read and that they know it’s true. Now we just got to carry their them to church and we will have some baptisms in a couple weeks… I’m freakin stoked. It was like Monday night that we got a call from one of these families the familia Leguizamon and she told us that her and her husband got in a fight cause he wants to continue being Catholic and she wants to keep listening to us so yeah they had an argument so we kept trying to go back this week and they were working every night. I was so worried so we were praying like crazy. One of the nights we stopped by, she answered the door and said she was still working but that the next time we came by she had something to share with us. And as a missionary you know that’s either a really awesome thing or a bummer thing (ha-ha) but yesterday we went by and they were there. Right when we got there we asked her about her experience that she had and she said oh yeah I have to tell you that. She said the other day she was reading in the Book of Mormon (she is in 1 Nephi 17 by the way already) and she said she just prayed to God asking how she can know if these things are true. And right after that she picked up the restoration pamphlet and opened right to one of the last pages with the title in bold letters at the top (HOW CAN I KNOW?) she read that page and knew that it was an answer from God and she has felt and said she knows. So that lesson we watched “Together Forever” with them and the spirit was testifying it was sweet. After the husband just started asking like 100 questions and expressing all of his doubts that he had and he said that like his wife wanted to go to church really bad that day but he wasn’t so sure and didn’t want her to go alone. Then she asked us (So what happens if one of the spouses gets baptized and the other doesn’t?) I was prompted to tell them about Aunt Carolann who is a member and married to someone that isn´t a member but he is one of the most incredible people that I have ever met and they are happy together. But after we shared about that we told them we were here to bring their family to the gospel TOGETHER not separate and we were going to do all that we could do to do that. The spirit was so strong and it was amazing because all the questions that he had the spirit just directed us immediately to answer them and he felt really good in the end. They accepted that night to be baptized on the 18th of February. What an incredible experience it was for me to see the spirit just dominate a lesson. So yeah it was an awesome week we had some amazing things happen.
